Technology and aluminium extrusion process

Extrusion process begins with pre-heating of aluminium ingots, wich have diametar of 178mm and length of 6meters. Pre-heating is done in a natural gas owen.
After pre-heating raw aluminium ingot is being cut to pieces between 350 and 850mm in length, wich are automatically loaded to the press. Main extrusion piston slowly, with speed of only 14mm/sec and without dynamic strikes, presses heated aluminium trough special dye wich determines profile shape. Special device, called Puller, holds profile lightly tensioned during extrusion, and powerful fans cool the profile from top and bottom.
After extrusion, the profile is being cut on the so-called Warm Saw and automatically transferred across working bench to a strecher. After streching, profile is being cut to final length of 6 meters. These profiles are then taken to Artificial Aging Owen where they are heated to 180 °C for period of 8 hours.
During extrusion proces, raw material temperature remains between 480 and 510°C, wich is below aluminium’s melting point and therefore there are no emissions of toxis fumes. Industrial waste, consisting of aluminium grates from cutting of profiles, is collected with installed industrial vacum-cleaners and 100% recycled.
